BUDGET ACCOUNTANT

Qualification(s)


  • First degree in Finance/Accounting qualification
  • (CIMA/ACCA/PCA) will be an advantage

Experience & Training

  • Minimum of 6 years working experience, including 3-5 years Financial Accounting experience
  • Experience in budget forecasts and process controls
Job Summary

  • Analyze individual segment forecasts and develop a holistic/total projection for Business Solutions in line with the departmental strategy/objectives

  • Recommend Opex saving initiatives and efficient deployment of resources within the Business Solutions Division

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting within the Enterprise Solutions Division, Finance planning and the MTN Group as at when required

  • Examine financial records and statements for accuracy, manage the accrual and prepayment process and ensure timely reporting to Finance GL unit

  • Perform Variance analysis on projects within Business Solutions Division

  • Assess and advise on estimates for key projects funding and continuing running costs due to the sensitivity of Business Solutions Opex

  • Alert Business Solutions on expenditure exceeding allocated budget for sub divisions within the Division

TEAM LEAD-INTERNET & DATA SERVICES Department: Network Group
Reporting to: National IP Manager

Qualification(s)
B.Sc. Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Experience & Training

  • Five (5) years extensive experience in IT, Telecommunications & Systems integration preferably in a mobile SP environment

  • Minimum Cisco qualification of CCNP/DP level with advance IP specialization and network design experience

  • Sound understanding of telecoms standards and working knowledge of IP/MPLS BGP peering techniques

  • Data and voice networking protocols such as IP, BGP, Frame Relay, VOIP, SIGTRAN

  • Advance Routing (BGP) and OOS mechanism and deployed techniques

Job Summary

  • Oversee design and deployment of distributed Internet POP sites and infrastructure within MTN Nigeria's redundant Internet backbone architecture

  • Oversee service provisioning for all MTN fixed data infrastructure; good knowledge of DSL technology required

  • Produce, maintain and evolve strategy and roadmap for continuous achievement of higher cost efficiency and reliability in MTN's Internet service provision plan

  • Develop, evolve and control NWG methodologies for acquisition and distribution of public Internet IP addressing and autonomous system numbering for achievement of MTN Nigeria's internal and external data service obligations
  • Receive and review internal/external request for Internet access and connectivity and map out the requirements and procedure for successful and cost effective provisioning of required resources e.g. dedicated bandwidth and traffic exclusivity
  • Implement accurate performance monitoring techniques to ensure adequate capacity and capability for the achievement of given SLAs, quality and class of service targets for all Internet service streams
  • Ensure production of best fit architecture, integration planning and ongoing infrastructure development for provisioning of mobile data services to corporate, individual, fixed and mobile customers e.g. Wi-Fi, GPRS, WAP and 3rd Generation mobile services
  • Ensure the production and evolution of Network Security policies and implementation of required amendments as may from time to time be directed by the information security steering committee
  • Oversee planning, development and evolution of secure content hosting and extranet data connectivity mechanism for nodes and services hosted remotely (GPRS roaming) or locally on MTN premises (3rd Party Compartments)
  • Oversee planning, development and evolution of Network Performance Management, Provision and Service Support Systems used in planning, delivery and management of MTN's IP/Data Services and Networks
  • Flexible in the use of NMS monitoring, provisioning and analysis tools
  • Ensure compilation, analysis and presentation of trend reports on Internet capacity demand, utilization and availability as well as mitigation action plans for any identified security breaches or loopholes
